· SENDiT recommends you begin with a CYP you have previously allocated to your SEN Support cohort. This can be a useful first experience.
· SENDiT recommends that the screening tool is the first step the teaching team would take if they believed they were teaching a CYP who possibly had unidentified SEN.
· SENDiT recommends that your setting should have a local policy agreed by the SEND Lead that advises on user access to ‘screening.’ This should be delivered through CPD to ensure all staff members understand their role and responsibilities.
