How does SENDiT evidence the 'Graduated Response' for each CYP?

How does SENDiT evidence the 'Graduated Response' for each CYP?

·          Once the CYP record has been on boarded, SENDiT has then become the tool to manage each CYP’s iPlan, which will include considering their required additional to, and different from, provision based on the robust screening tool across the Areas of Need.

·          This screening tool includes digitising the current professional input documents which are the core foundation of each CYP’s plan.

·          If a CYP’s graduated response has not reached the point of involving professional input, SENDiT is the core method for evidencing the work done to date within your setting. This will include the whole staff team involved in delivering High Quality Teaching, and additional support currently provided by the full breadth of the support and teaching teams; and also input from the family and the CYP themselves.

·          Evidencing this core first stage of the graduated response is a key element of SENDiT’s capability.

·          On receipt of a new professional document you can immediately on-board it through the iPlan.  This will ensure the iPlan is current and all users can access the professional input as it arrives in the setting.

·          Using the iPlan tools you will also be ensuring each CYP has all the required short-term targets the team needs to direct their planning. This includes CYPs with EHC plans. In SENDiT if a ‘Need’ is evidence, it must have an associated short-term target.

·          SENDiT will also facilitate your next strategic steps.   Each CYP record will list actions required from you with regards to missing tasks within the areas of need scrutiny.

·          In addition, you can begin screening a CYP yourself, or work with the teaching team to begin this new method in your setting.

·          SENDiT can support you in ensuring all SEND is identified in your setting in a timely way
